Traveling is my greatest addiction, and I crave the experience of being somewhere new and different.
Having more time to travel, and also a way to share what I learn, is part of the reason I wanted to be a full-time writer. So I am off for 2 weeks cycling through the hills of Tamil Nadu and then into Kerala. Since I visited Varanasi (left) and the north a few years back, I have wanted to travel in the south of India, so I am really excited about the trip!
It's also a chance to take some time out from the digital craziness online, so there won't be anything on the blog, I won't be checking/approving comments, or tweeting/facebooking/G+ or checking email. It's an extended digital Sabbath, a sacred time to think, to take in the landscape of India, to spend time with new people, to read. Oh yes, and to eat all that lovely Indian food! The blog is almost 5 years old so I will also be thinking about the direction for my writing and my business going forward.
