by Joanna Penn on May 23, 2009

This week I have been at the Sydney Writers Festival, which has been packed full of great events.

I reported on the US Publishing Trends session in writing here – this is the video I did overlooking the Sydney Opera House where I discuss the event.

Very interesting report, thanks for posting, especially hearing that publishers are interested in turning blogs into books! Are you based in Sydney?

Although I’m based in Sydney, I didn’t attend, so I thank you for your report.

It’s good to keep up with what’s happening. I didn’t know but why wasn’t I surprised to learn that profits in publishing aren’t rising but remaining ‘flat’?

This internet revolution has really shaken up things in publishing, hasn’t it? More and more people are ceasing to buy magazines, books and newspapers in favour of the web.
