It's the time of year to give up on 2008 and think about what you will achieve in 2009.
Do you have some writing goals?
Will you finally write that book? Or finish it and send it to a publisher?
Or put it up on Amazon and get some international sales?
Goal setting is important as people with written goals achieve far more than people without. I have set certain goals about when I will finish my next book, and also how many sales I will make in 2009.
Once you have set your goals, check out this very cool website FutureMe where you can send your goals (or any other message) to Future you.
You put in your email address, your message and the date it will be sent. That can be next month, next year or 5 years time. I sent myself a congratulatory message on achieving my goals for 2009 to be sent on 12 Dec 2009. No doubt I will forget it is coming and (hopefully) will get a good surprise next year!
So, go on – set your writing goals, and email them to yourself a congratulatory email at FutureMe!
