I must say that I am very interested in learning how to create a facebook/ author link. Johanna Penn’s opening comment is full of information I can use, and I think that without a doubt, I shall in the very near future, check out her website. I am the new author of the book titled The Brotherhood of All Mankind: Biblically, Historically & Scientifically. This book can be found on Amazon.com and Kindle Books. I am presently looking for ways of promoting this book, and I think Johanna’s suggestion could help. In this day and age of cultural, political, and racial divide–a book like the one named above is very necessary for ethnic and spiritual harmony.

Also, the groups have no way of adding any interesting apps which is annoying!

My only problem with Facebook (other than the new layout) is that the pages don’t have an option for books.

You can create a page under Artist, Band or Public Figure and select Author/Writer, but you can’t create a page under Brand or Product and select Book. An oversight I think.

I have pages for my books – http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php#/pages/RealmShift/36287306644?ref=nf and http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php#/pages/MageSign/35067499818?sid=7ad7982471111027ce57e1667fcd5210&ref=s – but they’re not specific to book searches. If anyone knows how to get Facebook to address this, I’d be very pleased.

Setting up your own fan page as an anuthor strikes me as a bit of an ego trip! It would be nice if a fan of my books set up the page of me as an author. And a wikipedia entry too, maybe…
